Skatetown
Speed
Skatetown
USA, a one-year-old rink in West Chester
Ohio (just north of Cincinnati), is
forming a new inline speed skating team.
Skatetown Speed will be coached by Bill
“Lucky” Stehlin, a former national level
skater, and skating teacher and coach of
several years. Lucky will be using
training techniques and drills developed
by national level coaches, which are
applicable for beginning through
advanced skaters. Skatetown Speed has
already recruited several skaters, from
beginners through national level
skaters, and from ages of six through
sixty.
Skatetown Speed welcomes new skaters,
from beginners and recreational skaters
through advanced skaters, to round out
it’s team. If you are interested in
learning how to skate faster, using
proper technique and training drills,
then Skatetown Speed might be for you.
Not only will you learn how to skate
faster with proper technique, you will
also learn how to skate in a pack and
skate in relays with other team members.
We also welcome skaters from other speed
teams to practice with us and learn new
drills or just get more floor time.
Skatetown Speed will have its first
official practice of the season on
Thursday 23 September from 4 to 6 PM.
Skatetown Speed currently will hold
practice every Thursday from 4 to 6 PM
and every Sunday from 9 AM to Noon at
Skatetown USA. For directions to
Skatetown USA, please visit the web site
at www.skatetownusa.us. If you would
like more information on Skatetown
Speed, please contact Coach Lucky
Stehlin at (859) 635-3671 in the
evenings, or e-mail Jim Grove, team
secretary, at groveje@ameritech.net. |
